The club was formed in November 2003 and we were fortunate to secure the use of the Yorkley Indoor Centre for our early winter events, which have grown over the years. We are also very fortunate to have the support of David and James Broome, allowing us to use their Centre to build a cross country course and a couple of years ago we ran our first National Novice Qualifier.

The IHDTA Winter programme is now run outdoors at the Cricklands Centre using the all weather arenas for the three phases of the event. Once harnessed up and warmed up, you drive your test, then move to the main arena for the cones and obstacles. Having completed all the stages, you return to your lorry and pack up. No hanging about and home reasonably early!

Evening events are also very popular and are great for drivers with busy lives and jobs that can often get in the way of driving. The evening events are run over permanent obstacles and sometimes include water (practice sessions beforehand can be arranged!). Once your round is complete, return to your box, pack up and by then the scores are usually calculated for the final prize giving session in the lorry field.

As a member of the group, concessions are available and you would receive a quarterly newsletter, which will keep you up to date with everything which is going on.
